About Me

I was born in Nepal and later moved to Germany, where I studied Medicine at the University of Bonn. Somewhere along the way, I found myself moving into medical technology instead.

It wasn’t a sudden decision. Over time, I became more interested in systems, problem-solving, and the kind of work where you build something useful and keep improving it until it survives real-world use. That part stayed with me.

Since 2022, I’ve been working at a consulting firm near Munich, helping build and improve systems that need to handle complexity well. I enjoy designing data-intensive applications (not a meme! I really do!), but what I enjoy even more is solving the difficult problems that appear once those systems are running in production. Things always look cleaner in theory than they do in real life.

Over the years, I’ve worked with teams building important systems in areas like payments, manufacturing, and healthcare. Those experiences taught me a lot about scale, responsibility, and the fact that good engineering is usually not about doing the fanciest thing, but about making the right trade-offs and building something that actually works well.

Outside of work, I spend my time on things that are a little less technical: cooking, photography, and cycling. They help me slow down, stay curious, and enjoy life away from screens.

Photography

I especially enjoy wildlife photography, and I’ve been exploring landscape and wildlife photography for the past few years. If that’s something you’re interested in, feel free to have a look at my gallery.

Cooking

I love trying new cuisines and expanding my horizons in the kitchen. Over time, I’ve found comfort foods in places far beyond the Nepalese dishes I grew up with. I’ve been exploring a lot, and I hope to share some of that journey here as well.
