My Journey

I was born in Nepal and later moved to Germany, where I studied Medicine at the University of Bonn. Life did not exactly go the way I had imagined back then, because somewhere along the way I ended up in tech instead.

It was not a sudden switch. I just found myself getting more interested in systems, problem-solving, and the kind of work where you build something useful and then keep improving it until it actually survives real-world use. That part really stuck with me.

Since 2022, I have been working at Pexon Consulting GmbH. Most of my work has been around building and improving systems that need to handle complexity well. I enjoy designing data-intensive applications, but what I enjoy even more is solving the difficult problems that show up once those systems are running in production. Things always look cleaner in theory than they do in real life.

Over the years, I have worked with teams building important systems in areas like payments, manufacturing, and healthcare. Those experiences taught me a lot about scale, responsibility, and the fact that good engineering is usually not about doing the fanciest thing, but about making the right trade-offs and building something that actually works well.

Outside of work, I spend my time on things that are a bit less technical: cooking, photography, and cycling. They help me slow down, stay curious, and enjoy life away from screens.

Looking back, going from Nepal to Bonn, from medicine to technology, was not the most obvious path. But it has been an interesting one, and in many ways it fits me better than I could have planned.

Photography

I love wildlife photography. I have been doing landscape/wildlife photography since more than two years now. If you are interested in that sort of thing, feel free to check out my gallery here.

Cooking

I love trying out new cuisines and expanding my horizons. Around the globe, I have found my comfort food in cuisines that are far away from my "own" nepalese food. I have been exploring a lot and will try to take you on a journey with me.
